Can you feel the wind?
I took this in Coffs Harbour while on holiday.
I love the beach!

It's been hot and dry with wind the last couple of days. I didn't feel well after work on Tuesday and woke up with an awful headache Wed morning. I took yesterday off and decided I still needed a day to relax. I have to say our air con was broken and our office was 33 degrees Monday and Tuesday (91.4 degree Fahrenheit) with no windows to open for a breeze. I can't deal with that very well.
Today I am feeling better though and have been told it's now cold in the office! YAY.
Nothing is better after 8 years of Bush

Just look at this

UNEMPLOYMENT RATE
Then: 4.2% (Bureau of Labor Statistics, January 2001)
Now: 6.7% (Bureau of Labor Statistics, November 2008)
And:
CONSUMER CONFIDENCE (1985=100)
Then: 115.7 (Conference Board, January 2001)
Now: 38.0, which is an all-time low (Conference Board, December 2008)
And:
U.S. BUDGET
Then: +236.2 billion (2000, Congressional Budget Office)
Now: -$1.2 trillion (projected figure for 2009, Congressional Budget Office)
It's going to take a long, long time to dig out of this hole. And, we better start digging out soon.

Israel has also been using white phosphorus shells in its assault on Gaza, according British daily The Times.

White phosphorus is a chemical agent used to produce smokescreens, but can cause serious burns or death if it comes into contact with human skin. White phosphorus weapons are controversial today because of their potential use against civilians.

While the Chemical Weapons Convention does not include white phosphorous as a chemical weapon, many groups consider it to be one. In recent years, the United States, Israel, Russia and Argentina have used white phosphorus in combat.

And from my LJ friend [livejournal.com profile] tcpip
Avaaz (a remarkably effective group) has a
cease-fire petition, which I urge all to sign and pass on. Also, go vote for Prof. Juan Cole's 'blog Informed Comment as Best Middle East or Africa 'Blog.

I just heard on the News that shells have been shot from Lebanese soil and now Israeli troops are firing on Lebanon.
Best keep an eye out folks this is growing and we all better be concerned

There is a very good video in facebook that I can't post here =( I wish I could
It's Israeli citizens protesting against the fighting.
