Morning started by everyone jumping in the car, first stop was Ian's school, next Paul's work and I found myself driving out to Queenbeyan, it's not as progressive as Canberra and there are many interesting characters to be seen and I ran into Helen out there
hjj It's always good to see her. I love watching people. I made a call to Dima (Department of Immigration) to see how my application for permanent residency was going. I had a good reason to call them, as I had an interview today for what sounds like a very interesting job. Problem is I need to be perm!!!! If you remember I had submitted all the papers on the 8th of November and was told end of January at the most. NOTHING YET! grrrrrrrrr at that department. I"m afraid they could cost me this job, and I know this is a wonderful job. So Monday morning I will call again, I was told this morning that it was in the final stage, but that's all he would say. It was such a refreshing interview, very relaxed and fun. Anyway I am a very good candidate to get the job if only dima would come through. Anyway I am still moving up in the process to the next interview. I walked away feeling on top of the world. And if I get the job I will be working on the top of the world, well at least a very high spot above the city. I'll explain more later.
Ian had his trial run at his job this evening, and they loved him and offered him work, his boss came out and talked to Paul and I before Ian was done. He said that he's a fine young man and we can be very proud of him. Ian works again Monday evening. I was really worried how Ian would feel about it all when he was done, but it took him hours to wipe the smile off his face, he felt great and is very excited about working there. They are wonderful people, a man and his wife own it and their Oldest son is a manager. Ian enjoyed everyone he worked with, and even knows one of the guys from last years cricket team. I have a feeling that Ian is going to fit in well with all of them. Speaking of Ian I can hear the changes in his voice happening, he is really growing up and isn't the little boy that flew across the ocean with me. He is about eight inches taller than myself, and just has a very mature look about himself now. I know that both his brothers would be so proud of the things he is doing now, I wish we were closer.
I talked with TC this evening, I miss him so much.
Tomorrow morning it's cricket first thing and then Ian and I are driving to Bermagui after the game, to
stay in a very large cabin with families from the Football team most of the families went down tonight but Ian wanted to play in his cricket match, anyway it will be a nice relaxing time by the beach and I am looking forward to it even if it is just one night. Paul is staying home and working on his resume as there is a job he is applying for and it will be peaceful around here for him to get it done. =) I'm really hoping he will get this, then we all will have new fresh jobs, change is good, change is growth.
Anyway I'm sure I'll get lots of photos! =) everyone have a wonderful weekend, make it something to put in your memory banks.
