As the storm approaches my thoughts are with lori and Fletch up in Darwin. I hope you are in a safe place. And I hope that damn storm doesn't do much damage.

There are a few others in Darwin that also have my concern.
Latest I could find about Cyclone Monica

One of the most severe storms ever to strike Australia has crossed the Northern Territory coastline.

Monica, a category five cyclone packing winds of up to 350kph near its core, has touched down at Maningrida, in the territory'sfar north.

A spokeswoman for the Bureau of Metrology said Monica was extremely dangerous, dispensing terrifying gale force winds.

"The winds are incredibly strong and gales will continue to be felt in areas long after the core of the cyclone has passed," she said.

"This is one of the worst storms to ever hit the area and is heading at the moment in west, south-west direction."
