Apr. 26th, 2006 07:28 amFlooding has increased significantly on all continents in the past 60 years: by four times in Europe, six and one-half times in Asia, and twelve times in the Americas.
So this morning I didn't blow dry my hair, my clothes are on the line to dry for the day, and my heater is turned way down plus I unplugged all the electronics that stay on stand by before going to bed last night. All the little things that make life that much easier aren't going to matter soon. Time to get used to it. Plus it will save on our power bill.
But then I come and read this
President Bush on Tuesday ordered a temporary suspension of environmental rules for gasoline, making it easier for refiners to meet demand and possibly dampen prices at the pump. What effect is that going to have on a already damaged environment? I want to live a long life, there are no emergency exits off this planet.
My challenge to all of you is to find 3 ways personally to cut the carbon!
