Ok It's really hard sometimes not understanding what people in America are feeling right now, I have no idea any more what the feeling is really. It seems no one is even paying attention so I just don't know. If my posts upset you I'm sorry, but I'm American and I just see America so different then I remember and I can't help but wonder how bad things might get. It just seems to me that while "Protecting the Homeland" it's just become much more dangerous to be American at home or abroad.
I keep thinking of the fall of Rome.
I really hate thinking such doom and gloom thoughts. So on a more positive note
Tomorrow is "Australia Day", Sure Australia has it's political Faults but when the tsumami hit, Australia stepped up to bat and is still raising millions of dollars, it's a great thing to see what this small population can achieve when it works together. I know the countries leaders don't always step up to the plate (boat people). But the people of Australia are good people. I have met so many people from so many cultures and find that it doesn't matter where you come from people are pretty much alike. I really enjoy talking with people from Kenya (How many of you know the price of land in Kenya? I do) , Pakistan, Viet Nam, England, and Italy. I even spoke with a couple of French men the other day and a young couple from Holland. Canberra has people from all walks of life. I really want to become an Australian citizen. Ok I just talked myself into being calm thinking about my week out and about. (oh the chocolate ice cream might have helped just a little).
