Pauls tests showed his Kidney's are clear but the pain is still there, he's having an ultra sound on Wed. for his gallbladder+ another test to get him on some good acid reflex meds. Pour guy! and such bad timing.
I've been busy doing last minute things around here. So far I've loaded 62 full CD's on my iriver (with pauls help) it's crazy time consuming. Also about 200 singles that I had on my computer already. I have something of every genre from world music to 70's disco! I'm just going to put it on shuffle and enjoy!

Ian is Captain of his high school rugby union team, Thursday they played their 1st game and he was leading scorer for his team with a try and a conversion kick. One of his lady friends got it on video, so I hope I can get her to put it up on youtube so I can show it here and add it to my myspace. I've seen it but at this time it's not located where I can post it myself. Yesterday their game didn't go so well and Ian dislocated his thumb. =( This under 16's stuff is really serious hard games. Injuries have been minor so far but it's scary watching them.

Happy Mum's day to all the wonderful mum's out there. May you have a lovely stress free day.

For what it might be worth...

I have acid reflux problems too and have taken a variety of medications to treat the problem. Curiously the one that seems to work the best, is relatively inexpensive, seems to be relatively safe and works very quickly (for me at least) is Zantac. Instant gratification is good when it comes to reflux.

I take the 75 mg ones as needed (up to two a day) but they now have 150 mg that are supposed to last the whole day. There are also generic versions for even less over here in the States. They seem to work better than the really expensive prescription options for me.

Thanks for the info, I'm not sure we can get that over here but I'll have a look around.

The generic name is Ranitidine Hcl. I'm guessing it's as common there as it is here. Zantac is just the more expensive brand named version of it.

Try Ranitidine for the wiki entry on this drug. Again, it works for me but can't say anything more than that. Not a doctor. :)
