I do have to say I'm impressed with Bill Gates
750 million is a lot to donate no matter how much money you have.
The charitable foundation of Microsoft Corp. co-founder Bill Gates pledged $750 million Monday to vaccinate children throughout the developing world, one of the largest donations ever.

I'm sure these people must have been a big threat to America, from the LA times:
Among the allegations was that guards had sodomized a disabled man and killed his brother, whose dying body was tossed into a cell, atop his sister.
If you care to read more click here (it's pretty sick though)
Really I am still trying to figure out what these people did to deserve this. And Rice can smile?

I know I post to much about this kind of stuff but I tell you it bothers me to no end! Doesn't it bother anyone else? I keep wondering what I would feel if I was in this situation.
has the american media reported on this?
it seems pretty significant, seeing as bush-cheney-rice-rumsfeld-blair-powell-and company had said before the war that the ONLY reason for waging war was because, to quote all of them: iraq 'DEFINITELY' had weapons of mass destruction.
$150 billion dollars and 130,000 dead later, and does anyone care that our president and his henchman lied to us?
does anyone else in america remember? does anyone else remember bush and cheney and blair and all of the right wing liars saying over and over again: 'iraq definitely has wmd's' ?
they were lying. this war was completely unnecessary and i just keep wondering why americans aren't more outraged.
here's the proof that the administration lied through their deceitful little teeth:

BBC-News-January 12th, 2005

"US gives up search for Iraq WMD

Intelligence officials have confirmed the US has stopped searching for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

They say the chief US investigator, Charles Duelfer, is not planning to return to the country.
Mr Duelfer reported last year that Iraq had no stockpiles of chemical or biological weapons at the time of the US-led invasion nearly two years ago.

The existence of WMD had been the stated reason in Washington and London for going to war with Iraq."
Ok It's really hard sometimes not understanding what people in America are feeling right now, I have no idea any more what the feeling is really. It seems no one is even paying attention so I just don't know. If my posts upset you I'm sorry, but I'm American and I just see America so different then I remember and I can't help but wonder how bad things might get. It just seems to me that while "Protecting the Homeland" it's just become much more dangerous to be American at home or abroad.
I keep thinking of the fall of Rome.

I really hate thinking such doom and gloom thoughts. So on a more positive note

Tomorrow is "Australia Day", Sure Australia has it's political Faults but when the tsumami hit, Australia stepped up to bat and is still raising millions of dollars, it's a great thing to see what this small population can achieve when it works together. I know the countries leaders don't always step up to the plate (boat people). But the people of Australia are good people. I have met so many people from so many cultures and find that it doesn't matter where you come from people are pretty much alike. I really enjoy talking with people from Kenya (How many of you know the price of land in Kenya? I do) , Pakistan, Viet Nam, England, and Italy. I even spoke with a couple of French men the other day and a young couple from Holland. Canberra has people from all walks of life. I really want to become an Australian citizen. Ok I just talked myself into being calm thinking about my week out and about. (oh the chocolate ice cream might have helped just a little).
In honour of Fawlty Towers, DON'T MENTION THE WAR.

If you have never seen Fawlty Towers, please go down and rent a few episodes, it will do you good.
I just wanted to mention how much I love Paul, 2 years!!! And many more to go, we just fit together like hand and glove. We really have a calm comfortable marriage, no power struggles, just mutual respect. How did I get so lucky?

Republicans have suggested linking Social Security benefits to a person's race or gender.
Don't let them get away with it.
Sign this petition and demand that George Bush and Washington Republicans stop their assault on Social Securiy

Ok so I woke up with more fight!
When will this guy and his group of cronies get impeached? is there even any talk of it?

Senate Democrats who oppose President Bush's Iraq policy spoke today against Condoleezza Rice's nomination to be secretary of state, signaling that they intended to vigorously oppose the administration's foreign policy despite their minority status.

By midafternoon, six Democrats had spoken against Ms. Rice's nomination, accusing her of deliberately misleading the American people and being an architect of a tragic and unwise war and a bungled postwar effort at peacekeeping.

Write letters people do something ! emails, what ever
Isn't it time that don't just sit back and let things happen, isn't it time that the people take america back?
"The United States is running record budget and trade deficits, and the foreigners we depend on to cover those deficits are losing faith. According to yesterday's Financial Times, central banks around the world have already started shifting into euros. If Mr. Greenspan is replaced with someone who looks like a partisan hack, capital will rush to the exits, the dollar will plunge, and interest rates will soar."

Nonsense says Treasury Secretary John W. Snow. He's a deficit "hawk!"

Oh wait: The latest NYT headline says:
White House Predicts $427 Billion Deficit, Including New War Costs
If you've got a floating interest rate on your mortgage, now might be a good time to lock it in.
I would be sure not to use credit cards either, just don't do it. Don't buy anything you can't pay cash for.

I just went out and busted a huge potted bamboo plant into 2 they are both still very large plants (talk about work it took almost an hour to get it separated and I was worn out when I was done, it was way to hot to start something like that, but now I have 2 wonderful planters of bamboo! I was at a nursery the other day and they had one just alittle taller then mine but not as much bamboo and it was 400.00 I got mine free =)
so now I have 2 valued right around 350.00 i would think. I'm dead now though, and Alex is coming into town tonight so I have to guest bedroom ready.
Later!!!
impeach bush! I think I might have to make a icon!
I know what I believe. I will continue to articulate what I believe and what I believe -- I believe what I believe is right.

I've been to war. I've raised twins. If I had a choice, I'd rather go to war. George W Bush

But as a result of evil, there's some amazing things that are taking place in America.

God loves you, and I love you. And you can count on both of us as a powerful message that people who wonder about their future can hear.
