Calling a patient advocate did the trick (sort of). However she made an appointment for us at the wrong department.
And they wanted to be sure we knew that, the girl was telling me all this stuff we should have done. I guess I was
just supposed to know all this because no one in ER told me anything. So now on top of everything I feel guilt.
She did listen before she sent us away, and when Ian told her it had been 9 days since it happened she took him
back and put this new brace type thing on. We go back tomorrow with new X-rays because I guess the
last ones just vanished in thin air along with the paper work that the plastics department insisted that they have before seeing us.

Anyway
He's not having much luck playing his game.

What's happening with the cops?

I'm calling them tomorrow before we go back to the hospital. Ian had to face the main kid at a funeral this weekend. Ian is now angry. More of the story of what they did is coming out, Ian's memory was a little off but not by much. Ian kept trying to get up and once one of the bouncers from the club was walking Ian into the club to check him out another kid had the balls to hit Ian from behind and knock him to the ground again.

The only reason we have heard is "We were really drunk"

I'm glad Ian is angry and willing to do something. "I was drunk" is NOT an excuse for bad behaviour.

I heard on the radio a couple of days ago that there's an epidemic of it (not sure if that was just in Canberra or not) and part of the reason it's out of control is that victims are not reporting it.

he probably needs new X-rays to see the current position of his bone-- it's been 10 days and things may have shifted. Hope he is doing better. Glad to hear that he is angry.

Glad to hear you're getting some resolution to these issues. The medical system is one that has to be mastered by practice it seems. My recent adventures in our system taught me a LOT about how you have to play the game to get it to work. At least work after a fashion.

If they can't handle their liquor, then they should be allowed to drink. I'm thinking maybe it should be a privilege and not a right. It does think that there's a lot more drinking in Oz than over here among the youth. That's just an unscientific impression.

Is there an organized move to halt bullying in the schools over there like what we're seeing here in the States?

OMG. Well, I guess as much as we bitch and moan about the healthcare system over here, it could be worse?? Bleh - I bet you're going insane dealing with those asshats!

Keep up the good work, Ma, you're doing everything you can for your boy... {{{hugs}}} Take a nice hot soak, maybe some salts...... you're doing what you can...
